For the past week and a half, we have been doing this thing called cultural kete. It is where you have to pick something to do about the culture that you are in and research something in that culture. James and I are Maori so we did something to do about Maori so we did a thing called a purerehua. A purerehua is a Maori instrument that the Maori use the purerehua to scare the lizards away from the crops, and they tried to use the purerehua cause they thought that it would make the clouds rain.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 8 and in 2021 I will be a year 9. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Hunt for the Wilder people - film review
Hunt for the Wilderpeople is a kiwi/New Zealand movie. The movie starred Julian Dennison as Ricky Baker, Rachel house as Paula, Sam Neill as Hec, and Rima Te Wiata as Bella. Taika Waititi made the Hunt for the Wilderpeople in 2016 on March the 31st. Taika Waititi got an award for making the Hunt for the Wilderpeople and the award was the Matariki award.
The plot
The plot is that Ricky Baker is a naughty boy and he likes to get in trouble. Ricky Baker likes to run away from where he lived with Bella and Hec. Then one day he went into the bush too far away from Bella and Hecs farm he had got lost and the Hec tried to find him then he found him and the next day they went for a walk and Hec rolled his ankle. Hec and Ricky had found a cabin and they had found a dead body and Ricky went and found a girl riding a horse and they went to find help. Then at the end of the movie Ricky and Hec were running from the police and the army.
My opinion
I give this movie a 7 out of 10 because they could have had more characters in the movie but they didn't. They should have put Taika Waititi in a better character position because I didn't think he suited being the minister.
